Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated CNC Grinder Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC grinding machines to produce precision surgical components. Your expertise will help ensure the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced equipment and contribute to life-saving medical devices.
Duties
- Operate and setup CNC grinding machines to manufacture complex surgical parts with precision.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and CAD/CAM programs to ensure accurate machining.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, tooling changes, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklift operation when necessary.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on CNC programming adjustments and process improvements using Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, inspection reports, and quality records.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC grinding machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and CAM programming software.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings for complex parts.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ability to work safely with precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
