Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal specials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy service hours
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food with attention to detail
- Serve dishes efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude and excellent customer service
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Experience working in fine dining environments or catering services is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations
- Previous kitchen experience that demonstrates reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail
