Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The driver will be responsible for safely operating a dump truck to transport materials such as gravel, sand, dirt, and other aggregates to and from job sites. This role requires adherence to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and efficient delivery schedules.
Duties
- Operate Dump Truck Safely: Drive and maneuver dump truck to transport materials to and from job sites.
- Load and Unload Materials: Ensure proper loading and unloading of aggregates, dirt, sand, gravel, and other materials.
- Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct daily inspections of the truck to ensure it meets safety and operational standards.
- Maintain Vehicle Condition: Perform minor maintenance, cleaning, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow Delivery Schedules: Adhere to assigned routes and timelines for material delivery.
- Comply with Regulations: Follow all DOT, state, and company safety regulations and procedures.
- Document Work: Complete delivery logs, inspection reports, and other required paperwork accurately.
- Communicate Effectively: Coordinate with dispatch, site supervisors, and other team members for efficient operations.
- Assist on Job Sites: Support site operations when needed, including helping with material placement.
- Operate in Various Conditions: Work in outdoor environments and adapt to changing weather and site conditions.
Requirements
- Valid CDL License: Class A or Class B with air brake endorsement.
- DOT Medical Card: Current and valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Clean Driving Record: No major violations or accidents within the past 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years operating dump trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
- Knowledge of DOT Regulations: Familiarity with federal and state transportation laws.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in outdoor environments.
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Time Management: Ability to meet delivery schedules and work under minimal supervision.
- Drug-Free: Must pass pre-employment drug screening and maintain compliance with random testing requirements.
Pay: $0.48 - $0.63 per mile
