Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Commercial Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial construction sites and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including low voltage and high voltage applications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to accurately execute projects.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues and ensure proper system operation.
- Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical systems to support automation processes.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical installations during new builds or renovations.
- Maintain compliance with NEC standards and local electrical codes while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Lead and mentor junior electricians or apprentices on site as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, strictly adhering to OSHA and company safety protocols.
Requirements
- Experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrician work preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, low voltage systems, high voltage systems, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Experience working on construction sites, renovation projects, or similar environments with a focus on safety and quality.
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and industrial electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical documents related to schematics and wiring diagrams effectively.
- Strong understanding of NEC standards and low/high voltage safety procedures.
- Valid DL, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work at varying heights or tight spaces
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently. Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
