Quality & Supplier Management Engineer – Automotive

Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality & Supplier Management Engineer to lead quality engineering, supplier quality, and continuous improvement initiatives within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with Engineering, suppliers, customers, and the Quality Manager to maintain and improve quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Control Plans and PFMEAs.
- Lead PPAP and APQP activities with suppliers and customers.
- Perform 8D problem solving, customer complaint resolution, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Conduct supplier surveillance audits, corrective actions, and follow-ups.
- Support customer and third-party quality audits.
- Analyze capability studies, Gage R&R, GD&T, tooling, and measurement systems.
- Develop receiving inspection instructions and monitor quality performance.
- Train inspectors/operators on quality processes and measurement techniques.
- Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization.
- Maintain proactive quality systems and visual management programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with ISO/IATF quality systems.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, 8D, and Gage R&R.
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
- CQE certification is a plus.
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on the manufacturing floor and travel to customer sites as needed.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
