Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers across designated routes, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Load, secure, and unload freight
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing routes for efficiency and safety
- Transport a variety of cargo including refrigerated goods
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during transit
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial truck driving
- Experience handling different types of freight such as refrigerated and frozen trailers
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, and safety protocols
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including load & unload operations safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures and route driving best practices
- Valid medical certification for commercial drivers as required by DOT standards
Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,800.00 per week
