The Housekeeper’s responsibilities comprise a diverse range of activities that include cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, preparing guest room beds and maintaining guest room bathrooms, as well as work related to the exterior premises such as washing windows and parking lot sweeping. In addition to accomplishing tasks related to the daily cleaning cycle, Housekeepers are also responsible for preparing rooms for morning arrivals of both guests and new staff. An important aspect is ensuring that Housekeepers complete their assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning of rooms and bathrooms.
- Replenish and maintain stocks of napkins, towels, shampoos, soaps, toilet paper, bathrobes and other supplies/items.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces of furniture and appliances in rooms.
- Empty trash cans.
- Empty ashtrays.
- Vacuum carpets and floors.
- Polish furniture.
- Dust blinds and window sills.
- Launder pillows, blankets and sheets.
