Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrician Technician to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse electrical systems across various environments, including industrial, commercial, and renovation projects. As an Electrician Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment and systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless operation of electrical infrastructure in fast-paced construction sites and ongoing renovation projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation and maintenance tasks.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure electrical work aligns with project specifications and safety protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance on industrial and commercial electrical systems to prevent downtime.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks and troubleshooting complex control systems.
- Apply knowledge of NEC regulations to ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
- Assist in renovation projects by framing carpentry, installing new wiring, or upgrading existing electrical infrastructure.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and system modifications.
Experience
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical installation and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical systems.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams essential for accurate installations.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools necessary for heavy-duty tasks.
- Experience working with low voltage and high voltage systems safely within regulatory standards.
- Knowledge of NEC guidelines for residential or commercial wiring projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate testing devices like ohmmeters confidently for troubleshooting purposes.
