Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their preferences and needs
- Educate customers on product effects, usage methods, and safety guidelines through engaging product demos
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by stocking shelves, merchandising products, and conducting regular stock checks
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales and recordkeeping
- Provide exceptional customer service via in-person interactions and phone etiquette, addressing questions promptly and professionally
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions
- Supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment preferred
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills for engaging with customers remotely or in-store
- Knowledge of retail store product merchandising, stocking, and inventory management
- Basic math skills for handling cash register operations, retail math calculations, and cash drawer balancing
- Experience with grocery store or retail sales environments is advantageous
- Familiarity with cannabis or similar retail products enhances customer guidance skills
