Position Title: Elementary Reading Specialist (Grades K-2) (2026 - 2027 SY)
Description:
Provide instruction and support to students in grades K-2 who are experiencing difficulties with reading.
Responsibilities Include:

use of both formal and informal assessments to diagnose the strengths and needs of students
-
interpret assessment information for tailored instruction
-
implementation of strategies/reading programs adopted by school district
-
provide assistance to classroom teachers to promote carryover of strategies and optimal learning
-
participate in parent conferences, answer parent concerns, act as resource to parents to encourage support of their child’s reading/language arts development
-
participate in SST (student support team) as warranted
-
plan, facilitate and present reading information and data at grade level meetings and CPT
-
other duties as assigned by the school principal
Qualifications:

Master’s degree and reading licensure required

familiarity with district benchmark testing programs, progress monitoring and data interpretation
