As a Maintenance Person at Daly Seven, you are responsible for maintaining a clean and attractive property while ensuring all repairs are completed in a timely manner. You play a critical role in preserving the building's infrastructure and grounds to provide a safe and inviting environment for our guests. By prioritizing tasks assigned by management and responding to immediate needs, you ensure the hotel remains in peak operational condition.
What You’ll Do
Grounds & Exterior Care

Maintain an attractive property by picking up litter and ensuring the parking lot is swept and free of trash.

Manage landscaping needs, including weeding and watering shrubs, plants, and flowers.

Maintain the hotel pool and ensure all exterior woodwork and trim are in good repair.

Keep walkways and entrances clear of ice and snow to ensure guest safety.

Clean exterior windows and replace burned-out light bulbs on the building exterior and in corridors.
Room & Building Maintenance

Collect room maintenance cards from the front desk to promptly correct guest room issues.

Conduct ongoing room preventative maintenance, including repairing damaged walls, painting, and replacing or repairing wallpaper.

Repair leaking or clogged plumbing, and re-caulk windows, bathtubs, sinks, and toilets while treating for mildew.

Maintain hardware by repairing loose doorknobs, door closures, and loose door frames, as well as replacing and rotating locks as needed.

Fix damaged furniture, carpet, light fixtures, lamps, and loose pictures or mirrors.
Equipment & Technical Support

Perform routine preventative maintenance on laundry equipment and vacuum cleaners.

Clean air conditioning filters regularly to ensure efficiency.

Maintain lawn mowers and other power equipment to ensure they remain in good working order.

Respond to emergency situations both during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.

Strong technical aptitude with the ability to safely operate power tools, mowers, and clippers.

Minimum 1 year of facility maintenance experience.
-
Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift up to 35 points where needed to perform job duties.
