Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based ABA therapy protocols tailored to each client’s care plan, focusing on skill development and behavior management.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, dressing, and feeding, promoting independence.
- Collect accurate behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Support clients in developing communication skills through teaching techniques aligned with their individual needs.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with supervisors, teachers, caregivers, and families to ensure consistency across settings such as home, school, or community environments.
- Adhere strictly to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts while delivering compassionate patient care.
Skills
- Experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, especially autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and implementation of therapy protocols.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health initiatives effectively.
- Skilled in data collection, medical documentation, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health settings.
- Excellent client communication skills coupled with patience and empathy for diverse needs.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.
