We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician to provide comprehensive medical care in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Lynchburg VA. The Physician will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing the healthcare needs of residents, ensuring high-quality care in a long-term care setting. This position requires collaboration with Nurse Practitioners, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and promote overall well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive medical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

Diagnose, manage, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions

Provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up care for residents

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and quality outcomes

Educate patients, families, and staff on disease management and preventive care

Ensure compliance with regulatory and documentation requirements

Offer guidance and supervision to Nurse Practitioners and other healthcare staff

Skills and Qualifications

Active Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) license in the state of Virginia Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics

Preferred Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), long-term care, or geriatric medicine preferred
