Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using Toast POS systems ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments, while adhering to cash handling procedures
- Upsell menu items and beverage options to maximize sales opportunities while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and following food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly to uphold excellent customer service
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is preferred
- Familiarity with Toast POS system is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Demonstrated ability in upselling, sales transaction processing, and guest relations
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy period
- Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety standards within the food industry is essential
- Prior roles such as host/hostess that involve guest interaction are advantageous
