Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer or sealant to ensure optimal finish quality
- Apply paint, stain, or coatings using brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, or power tools across various surfaces including walls, ceilings, trim, stucco, and masonry
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute renovation or restoration projects according to specifications
- Assist with framing, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and basic drywall work to support construction and remodeling tasks
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean work environment on construction sites
- Perform maintenance tasks such as concrete finishing, masonry repairs, or industrial painting as needed for project completion
- Support team members with miscellaneous labor duties including material handling, site cleanup, scaffolding setup, and equipment maintenance
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction painting or general labor roles on commercial or residential sites is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and safety procedures on construction sites
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics and understand basic math calculations related to measurements and estimates
- Familiarity with various painting techniques including airless spray systems and color theory principles is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately in fast-paced environments
- Good physical stamina for standing, lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders/scaffolding, and working outdoors in different weather conditions
- Basic carpentry skills such as trim carpentry or framing are advantageous; handyman experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
