Position Overview
The Restoration Estimator / Production Manager plays a critical role in the success of our projects by accurately assessing property damage, preparing detailed estimates, managing restoration production activities, and coordinating with insurance carriers, adjusters, homeowners, subcontractors, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate understands the urgency and sensitivity involved in water and fire losses and can confidently guide customers and partners through the restoration and reconstruction process from initial inspection through project completion.
Responsibilities
- Inspect residential and commercial properties for water, fire, smoke, and mold damage
- Prepare detailed estimates using Xactimate or similar estimating software
- Communicate directly with insurance adjusters and carriers regarding project scope and pricing
- Coordinate with mitigation teams, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure efficient project execution
- Manage restoration production schedules, timelines, and workflow
- Oversee project progress to ensure quality control, customer satisfaction, and timely completion
- Maintain detailed documentation, photos, moisture records, and project files
- Assist customers throughout the insurance claims and restoration process
- Ensure projects meet company standards, insurance guidelines, and industry best practices
- Help maintain strong relationships with insurance partners and referral sources
- Conduct site visits and monitor job progress to address issues proactively
- Support team accountability, communication, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Experience in restoration estimating, production management, construction estimating, or insurance claims preferred
- Proficiency with Xactimate strongly preferred
- Experience with Docusketch and digital documentation platforms preferred
- Strong understanding of water mitigation, fire restoration, and reconstruction processes
- Leadership experience managing crews, subcontractors, or restoration projects preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license required
