Labor & Employment Associate (Mid-Level)
Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $260,000 – $310,000
Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a mid-level Labor & Employment Associate (3–4 years) to join its Detroit office. This is a strong opportunity to work on a broad mix of employment matters within a sophisticated and collaborative practice.
What You’ll Work On:
- Defending wage and hour class action litigation
- Handling single-plaintiff employment disputes
- Advising clients on labor and employment matters, including union-related issues
- Managing OSHA matters and EEOC charges
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings
- Conducting discovery and participating in motion practice
- Assisting with trial preparation and settlement negotiations
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–4 years of labor & employment experience in a law firm setting
- Experience with wage and hour litigation and employment counseling
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated client service and relationship-building ability
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active Michigan Bar admission
