Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and learning.
- Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and personal hygiene.
- Supervise children closely to ensure their safety and well-being at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Engage children in play-based learning, encouraging social skills, creativity, and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards.
- Follow mandated reporting laws and procedures to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development instruction is essential.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and child safety procedures is required or will be provided upon hire.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies is advantageous.
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience with infants or toddlers demonstrates valuable hands-on skills.
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws ensures compliance with legal responsibilities related to child welfare.
