We're seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and implement optimized manufacturing processes and systems. You'll drive production efficiency through cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards and enabling design for manufacturability. This role requires a Lean Manufacturing approach to solve complex technical challenges and coordinate seamless transitions of new processes and methods.
Process Development: Design and develop manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to improve process capability, quality, and manufacturing readiness at the plant level
Product Launch Coordination: Lead manufacturing launches for new or revised products, creating and updating BOMs and routings to reflect process improvements and Lean Manufacturing efficiencies
Equipment & Tooling: Design, develop, test, source, and cost-justify tools, machinery, and equipment for new or improved manufacturing methods, including CAD facility and equipment layout drawings
Problem Solving: Identify and develop collaborative solutions for production workflow issues including level loading, bottlenecks, machine reliability, and waste reduction
Continuous Improvement: Monitor production output, recommend and implement improvements to processes and methods, and collaborate with global cross-functional teams to implement manufacturing technology best practices
Technical Support: Provide technical guidance for manufacturing activities, support quoting and order management processes, and write procedures and reports
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering to ensure BOM accuracy in Windchill, collaborate with Purchasing and Category Management on manufacturing COGS assignments
Financial Responsibility: Prepare feasibility studies and cost justifications for projects, ensuring costs remain within approved budgets
Compliance & Safety: Maintain highest standards of corporate governance, Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and Environmental protection in accordance with company policies and industry regulations
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing Engineering preferred) from an accredited university
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Lean Manufacturing experience or Lean Green Belt/Black Belt certification
Oil & Gas manufacturing experience
Knowledge of machine design, welding processes, and special processes (coating, grinding, elastomer manufacturing, painting, bonding, etc.)
Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and dimensioning
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Mechanical Desktop a plus) and MS Office suite software
Strong team leadership skills with ability to work independently as a self-starter
Innovative problem-solver capable of working with minimal supervision
Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
