Reports to: Machine Shop Manager
Pay Range: $17 – $23 per hour, plus full benefits
General Description
This position requires a detail-oriented self-starter able to work productively as a member of a small team to turn raw materials into imaging sonar systems.
This person will be expected to:
· Assemble individual machined components into one or more sub-assemblies.
· Follow a bill of materials and work instructions to ensure accurate results.
· Read and interpret blueprints or drawings necessary to complete assignments.
· Perform detailed work including deburring, cleaning and painting of parts.
· Perform cosmetic and dimensional inspection of parts.
· Demonstrate a desire and aptitude for learning about machine tools and processes.
· Demonstrate the ability and attitude to work in a small company environment supporting both research and development and production efforts.
· Work safely in a production environment.
General Requirements
· Reliable self-starter, flexible attitude, and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
· Attention to detail.
· Authorized to work in USA
· Must pass a drug and background check.
· Familiarity with common hand tools.
· Machining and fabrication experience is a plus.
