Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed by nursing staff.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required.
- Experience in patient care settings, preferably in hospice or long-term care environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient service.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is preferred.
- Experience working with children is a plus but not required.
