Medical Administrator
This is a full-time position that would be every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10a-7p. This position has the ability to grow into a 40-hour work week if needed/ desired.
Qualifications
- Passionate about mental health and empathetic with mental health patients,
- High level of comfortability with phone communication, including inbound and outbound calls.
- Prior experience in medical offices, retail management, or customer service strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite; notably Word and Excel.
- Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong organizational, administrative and planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.
- Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Must have availability Monday through Friday.
- Provide respectful and compassionate care to all New Pathways Clinic patients.
- Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
- Professionally assist providers, staff, visitors, and patients.
- Assist in documentation of medical billing and correspond with the billing company in a timely manner.
- Monitor and submit Prior Authorizations to our billing company in a timely manner.
- Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all provider, staff and client information.
- Ability to schedule appointments for clients.
- Liaise between other medical facilities and referrers with discretion and professionalism.
- Adhere to policy and procedures during all activities.
- Assist with client admissions/treatments as per agreed protocols including ensuring that all required information is collected for each client prior to scheduling appointments.
- Communicate medical results to clients under clinical supervision.
- Complete accurate documentation of patient visits when necessary.
- Ability to maintain appropriate communication with all potential and current clients by utilizing appropriate methods (website, email, telephone, etc.) and documenting all communications with potential and current clients within the CRM system.
