Position Summary
The Community Relations Director serves as the primary representative of Judson Meadows Assisted Living within the community. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, home care agencies, senior organizations, and other referral sources to increase occupancy while promoting the exceptional care and services provided by Judson Meadows.
The Community Relations Director is responsible for generating qualified referrals, coordinating tours, assisting prospective residents and families through the admission process, and enhancing the facility's visibility throughout the Capital Region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, physician offices, case managers, discharge planners, home health agencies, hospice providers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct regular visits to referral sources to promote Judson Meadows Assisted Living.
- Identify new referral opportunities and community partnerships.
- Attend networking events, chamber meetings, health fairs, senior expos, and community functions.
- Represent Judson Meadows professionally at all community events.
Marketing
- Implement the facility's marketing plan.
- Coordinate community outreach programs and educational presentations.
- Maintain marketing materials and promotional items.
- Assist with website updates and social media content.
- Coordinate open houses, family events, and community appreciation events.
- Monitor local market trends and competitor activities.
Admissions
- Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective residents and families.
- Schedule and conduct personalized community tours.
- Explain services, pricing, and available levels of care.
- Coordinate with nursing staff regarding resident assessments.
- Assist families throughout the admission process.
- Ensure admission documentation is completed accurately.
Census Development
- Meet monthly occupancy goals established by administration.
- Track referrals, tours, move-ins, and lost opportunities.
- Maintain an active referral database.
- Prepare weekly and monthly marketing reports.
- Develop strategies to improve census and community awareness.
Community Relations
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, community leaders, and healthcare providers.
- Serve as an ambassador for Judson Meadows.
- Promote the organization's mission, values, and reputation.
- Respond professionally to community inquiries and concerns.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Executive Director, Director of Nursing, Business Office, and department managers.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings regarding admissions and resident transitions.
- Assist with discharge planning and transitions when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience in healthcare marketing, assisted living, senior housing, home care, or healthcare sales preferred.
- Knowledge of New York State Assisted Living regulations preferred.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to establish professional relationships with healthcare providers and referral sources.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid New York State driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM software, email, and social media platforms.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
