Customer Service Specialist – Spare Parts
Location: Chicago Area
Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite (Monday–Friday)
Position Overview
A growing industrial equipment manufacturer is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to support its Spare Parts team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring customers receive timely updates regarding parts availability and delivery schedules.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing, machinery, industrial equipment, or distribution environment and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email regarding spare parts orders and availability.
- Research and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Process sales orders and maintain accurate order records within an ERP system.
- Coordinate with domestic and international suppliers regarding order status and delivery timelines.
- Communicate updates and changes to customers proactively.
- Assist customers with questions related to machinery, equipment, and spare parts usage.
- Process return authorizations and follow up on customer service issues.
- Support additional department activities as assigned.
- Participate in an after-hours phone support rotation.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and responsive service.
Qualifications Required
- Manufacturing, industrial, machinery, OEM, or related industry experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of customer service experience.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Experience reviewing mechanical or electrical drawings/diagrams.
- Basic understanding of machinery or industrial equipment.
- Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday.
Preferred
- ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics/Axapta experience is a plus).
- Bilingual Spanish.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
