Overview
We are seeking skilled Ironworkers with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our dynamic membership. Our range of work can go anywhere from tying rebar to setting purlins and big structural jobs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel erecting and assembly, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. As an Ironworker, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining structures, ensuring they meet safety standards and codes.
Duties
- Assemble and install metal frameworks for buildings and other structures.
- Installation of floor and roof decking
- Welding
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and standards for safety and quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure structural integrity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Ability to weld is a plus but not a necessity.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to projects.
- Welding Certification in SMAW 7018 is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites.
