As a Production Scheduler, you’ll be based in person at our Salt Lake City, UT facility and report to the Plant Manager. In this role, you’ll play a key part in planning and maintaining orderly production schedules to meet customer demands, maximize production efficiencies, and maximize throughput, ultimately helping us deliver exceptional packaging solutions that make a difference for our customers. Our Scheduler is the “hub” that keeps all team members aligned.
What you’ll do:
Scheduling & Coordination
- Confirm and communicate On-Time Manufacturing (OTM) dates to Coordinators—and update them promptly when changes occur.

You’ll rely heavily on PrintFlow to manage scheduling, track performance, and align production goals.

Sequence production schedules to meet customer commitments, maximize efficiency, and boost throughput.

Distribute daily 24-hour production schedules to machines, Supervisors, and Leads.

Collaborate with production supervisors to adjust schedules based on changing conditions while maintaining OTM targets.

Coordinate machine downtime with Supervisors, Maintenance, and Planning teams.
Issue Management & Escalation

Escalate extended lead times for key accounts and value streams to management.

Recommend solutions to reduce lead times and improve responsiveness.

Provide contingency plans for production shortfalls or gains and communicate changes to relevant teams.

Respond quickly to customer expedite requests and update Coordinators on any OTM changes.
Performance Monitoring

Track actual production speeds (make-ready and run) versus estimates in PrintFlow.

Aim to align estimated and actual performance as closely as possible.
Team Collaboration
-
Work with production management to schedule overtime when needed to meet customer demands.

Lead daily production meetings to keep teams informed and aligned.
Quality & Continuous Improvement

Take proactive steps to prevent quality issues and contribute to solutions.

Halt processing when quality problems are identified and verify resolution.
-
Continuously evaluate processes and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and internal systems.
Basic Qualifications
-
3+ years’ experience with scheduling in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Thorough knowledge of litho printing as well as die-cutting, laminating and gluing preferred.

Skills in Microsoft Office, with the ability to create documents, manage spreadsheets, and handle email communications.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to changing priorities.

High school diploma or GED.
