Foundry Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Midwest / Regional candidates preferred
Work Setting: Onsite – approximately 75% on the factory floor
Shift: Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift
Position Overview
We are looking for an entry-level Foundry Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing projects and processes in a foundry environment. This is a great opportunity for a recent or upcoming engineering graduate with relevant internship or hands-on experience.
You will work closely with engineers, supervisors, and operators to improve manufacturing processes and support projects throughout the foundry.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and complete manufacturing engineering projects.
- Work with engineers, supervisors, and operators to solve production issues.
- Support manufacturing processes and continuous improvement activities.
- Spend approximately 75% of your time on the factory floor.
- Help troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Communicate project updates and solutions across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Recent graduate or upcoming graduate with relevant internship or hands-on experience.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
- Ability to work in a foundry environment around molten metal and large furnaces.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or strong interest in foundry operations, casting, or cast parts.
- Previous experience with FANUC robots, especially programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience with SAP, MES, Creo, or AutoCAD.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and develop in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
- Approximately 75% of the role is spent on the factory floor.
- Must be comfortable working around molten metal, large furnaces, and industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Metatarsal safety boots are required on the first day.
