Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of our food service operations.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by regularly cleaning countertops, floors, and equipment.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and organizing ingredients.
- Help with bussing tables during peak service times to ensure a smooth dining experience for guests.
- Support banquet services by ensuring that all necessary items are cleaned and ready for events.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and cleanliness throughout the shift.
Skills
- Previous experience in a food service or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean efficiently and thoroughly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to help with various tasks as needed within the kitchen, including food preparation and assisting cooks.
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and safety practices is a plus.
