Want a CDL-A job that gives you something most trucking jobs don't — 3 or 4 days off every week?
Locomotive Service, Inc. (LSI) is hiring a Day Shift Fuel Technician in Laurel, MT.
This is local railroad work. No OTR. No chasing miles. No spending your day fighting highway traffic. You work your scheduled shift, fuel locomotives when they arrive, and go home at the end of the day.
And here's one of the best parts:
- You're paid for your entire shift — including the time you're waiting for locomotives.
- If you're on shift, you're getting paid.
- Pretty straightforward.
- Your Schedule
- This isn't a traditional five-day workweek.
- You'll work a rotating 3-day / 4-day schedule with 12-hour DAY shifts.
That means you'll typically work:
- 3 days one week
- 4 days the next
- 12-hour shifts
- 3 or 4 days off each week
- Home every day
The longer workweeks also create overtime hours, paid at the applicable overtime rate after 40 hours.
We'll walk you through the exact rotation during your interview so you know exactly what the schedule looks like before you make a decision.
- Pay & Bonuses
- Pay: $23.00/hour
- Overtime: Paid after 40 hours per week
- Hours: Guaranteed
- Sign-On Bonus: $3,000
- Raises: Every 6 months
Additional opportunities include:
- Safety bonuses
- Holiday bonuses
- Opportunities to pick up additional shifts if you want more hours
- $500 referral bonus
The hourly rate is only part of the story.
You're paid while you're fueling. You're paid while you're waiting. You're working only 3 or 4 days each week, and you're home after every shift.
No mileage pay. No chasing loads. No wondering whether there will be enough work to make your paycheck.
