Under the direction of the Lead Receiving Specialist, the Receiving Specialist will be responsible for ensuring proper receipt of all inventory and non-inventory items delivered to Third Coast. Additionally, the Receiving Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Lead Receiving Specialist in developing/modifying receiving processes as needed to better support the Third Coast organization overall.

Download the open purchase order report from Dynamics every morning, as needed

Match purchase orders with invoices/packaging lists

Receive purchase orders in Dynamics for goods received

Verify all inbound packaged raw materials are received in correctly based on the BOL/TCT weight ticket comparison, and adjust, as needed, in Dynamics

Inspect all incoming deliveries to ensure materials received are in good condition, meet specifications, and match the packaging list

Reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with the vendor or the appropriate Third Coast department to rectify damages and shortages, as needed
-
Organize and store any materials received and notify appropriate departments within Third Coast once materials are ready for pickup at the receiving location, as applicable

Maintain accurate and organized records

Communicate with purchasing team regarding delayed orders or deliveries

Process returned and damaged goods

Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Lead Receiving Specialist or purchase order creator, as applicable

Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations

Perform area cleanup and other standard tasks during and at the end of an operation or workday

Complete additional related duties assigned by the Lead Receiving Specialist

Back up other team members in Receiving and fill in as needed

Exhibit and practice the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors

High School Graduate or GED desired but not required

Ability to understand mathematical conversions

Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and followup reporting

Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills are required

Proficient in working with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook

Inventory training or technical certification is a plus
-
Product receiving experience is a plus

Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus

SAP experience is a plus

Forklift: 2 years (Preferred)
