Position Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing commercial and residential flooring projects from contract award through final completion. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, installers, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Flooring Concepts' quality standards.
Success in this role requires exceptional organization, communication, problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Review awarded projects and prepare for successful execution.
- Develop project schedules and coordinate installation timelines.
- Confirm material availability and coordinate deliveries with suppliers and warehouse.
- Schedule installers to maximize efficiency and meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate site readiness with general contractors, property managers, and customers.
- Identify potential project risks and proactively develop solutions.
Customer Communication
- Serve as the primary contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain consistent communication regarding schedules, expectations, and project updates.
- Address customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Build strong relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals.
Installation Management
- Ensure installers have the necessary materials, documentation, and job information.
- Conduct jobsite visits to verify quality, safety, and project progress.
- Resolve field issues quickly to minimize delays.
- Coordinate punch list completion and project closeout.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Review project budgets and monitor costs throughout execution.
- Approve vendor invoices and subcontractor billing as required.
- Process change orders and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Understand project profitability and communicate financial concerns to leadership.
- Ensure project files remain complete and organized.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Flooring Concepts team and partners to ensure seamless project execution.
- Participate in project kickoff meetings and internal planning discussions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
Required
- Previous project management or construction management experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred
- Flooring industry and/or commercial construction experience.
- Experience reading construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of bids, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel to project sites regularly.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb stairs, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods during site visits.

Pay: $58,987.67 - $71,038.91 per year
