Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service, ensuring they feel valued and informed throughout their visit
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and usage guidelines through detailed product demos and personalized recommendations
- Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs, upselling where appropriate to enhance their experience
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented and accessible
- Conduct inventory checks, manage stock levels, and assist with product ordering to keep the sales floor fully stocked
- Uphold compliance with all legal regulations related to cannabis sales, including verifying customer IDs and adhering to age restrictions
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or follow-up calls from customers or vendors
- Support store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting shopping environment
Experience
- Previous cannabis experience in dispensaries
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential for smooth transactions
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases
- Experience conducting product demos or educational sessions enhances customer engagement
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math calculations, and inventory management
- Knowledge of customer service best practices, including phone etiquette and upselling techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compliance standards
