Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented organized Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our team. We are an amalgam of small businesses encompassing real estate, construction, self storage, cannabis, and weight loss/wellness treatments. This is a smoke-free workplace and no smoking is permitted during work hours.
The ideal candidate will support daily office operations and assist with various accounting tasks and fill-in for other office staff when we are rotating vacations. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a solid understanding of financial concepts, making it essential for candidates to have experience in bookkeeping and general ledger accounting.
From time to time this role will require interacting with customers to answer general questions about the companies' services, collect payments, solve complaints, and work with commercial leases. A big plus if you ever worked in Title and Escrow offices.
Duties
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
- Assist customers in person and on the phone while providing excellent customer service
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliation
- Assist with inventory and bank reconciliations
- Utilize QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and Treez cannabis POS software
- Support payroll processing and sales tax-related activities as needed
Requirements

- We prefer self-propelling people who also have the maturity to not just jump over written directives or deviate from policy without proposing why something might be a better approach.
- 3+ years experience as an Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an accounting environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Knowledge of budgeting processes is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- If interview goes well, we have you demonstrate you can navigate in QB, and do mini tests on Word/Excell.
