Job Title: Pharmacist I
Location: Onsite – West Valley City, UT 84119
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:45 AM – 6:15 PM
Duration: 6 Months (Contract-to-Hire)
Pay Rate: $57.00/Hr. - 62.00/Hr. On W2
Note: Must have valid Utah and Nevada Pharmacist licenses OR UT license required and must be able to obtain NV license within 60 days of hire if requested.
Position Overview
- We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our growing pharmacy team in West Valley City, Utah. This onsite position offers a unique opportunity for both experienced pharmacists and recent graduates to step into a role with a manageable initial workload focused primarily on final prescription verification and regulatory oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform final verification and approval of prescriptions prior to dispensing.
- Review prescriber orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential therapeutic concerns.
- Oversee and verify pharmacy technician work to ensure quality and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify and resolve medication-related issues and drug therapy concerns.
- Provide drug information and medication counseling to patients when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and pharmacy records.
- Support pharmacy operations and collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing.
- Must have valid Utah and Nevada Pharmacist licenses OR UT license required and must be able to obtain NV license within 60 days of hire if requested.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy practice, medication therapy, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of pharmacist experience.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in retail, specialty, mail-order, or fulfillment pharmacy environments is a plus.
Pay: $57.00 - $62.00 per hour
