Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable afterschool enrichment coaches to be apart of our ever growing team. We have partnered with Claremont Unified School District for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year as an afterschool enrichment provider. Strategic Kids offers a plethora of different enrichment programs and we're looking for candidates to join the following programs.
- Clay Art
- Field games and sports (Masters of the Field program)
- Chess
- Lego
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Lead engaging enrichment programs for the students we serve
✔ Clocking in/out daily with our scheduling software
✔ Master the curriculum
✔ Attend program meetings and special events
✔ Collaborate with other instructors and administrators
✔ Responsible for taking daily attendance
✔ Supporting our community partners with student supervision, homework help, leading classroom activities, etc.
Qualifications
✔ Must be 18 years or older
✔ A minimum of one year experience working with Elementary Age Children
✔ Afterschool program experience
✔ Classroom management
✔ Reliable transportation
✔ General Knowledge of the program you select
✔ Four days of availability minimum
✔ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and transport equipment from school to school
✔ Must be able to stand for two hour blocks
Sample Schedule:
Mondays: 2:25 - 5:00 pm
Tuesdays: 2:25 - 5:00 pm
Wednesdays: 12:30 - 5:00 pm
Thursdays: 2:25 - 5:00 pm
Fridays: 2:25 - 5:00 pm
Average 15-20 hours per week
New Hire Process:
We are seeking individuals who have a full understanding of the new hire process and can commit to Strategic Kids and the process. Please review carefully.
- All in person interviews will be conducted at this Tierra Mia Coffee location. 660 Indian Hill Blvd Pomona, CA 91767
- All new hire orientations will be conducted at Strategic Kids headquarters. The address is 26941 Cabot Rd, suite #109, Laguna Hills, CA, 92653. Attendance is mandatory.
- Curriculum workshops will be held the same day as orientation at Strategic Kids headquarters.
- Post workshop and orientation, all Strategic Kids staff will participate in our three day training program. These trainings will be held at schools nearby 8670 E Running Springs Dr, Anaheim, CA, 92808.
- Four days in total, 8-10 hours total. All Strategic Kids staff are compensated for training hours. Additionally, new hires will receive a $30 dollar bonus daily when traveling to headquarters or training, and will receive an additional hour of compensation per day (only valid during training hours).
