Job Overview
The Farmers Market Representative role involves early morning work - driving and delivering fresh baked goods to the outdoor setting of a weekend farmer’s market in Orange County. This role includes loading, unloading, set up and break down of booth, and requires strength to lift up to 25 pounds.

Duties
- Load and unload delivery vehicle and drive the vehicle to and from Market locations
- Set up and break down booth displays, including tents, tables, and signage ensuring displays are attractive and organized.
- Engage with customers by providing product information, answering questions, and offering product samples when appropriate
- Handle sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, including cash handling and receipts
- Promote products through upselling techniques and suggest complementary items to boost sales
- Maintain stock levels by merchandising products effectively and restocking as needed throughout the day
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards within the booth.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Valid CA Driving license and clean DMV history record
- Ability to lift / carry 25 pounds, stand and move for the market duration (7-8 hours)
- Strong communication skills and friendliness to interact confidently with shoppers
- Basic math skills for cash handling, POS operations, and retail math calculations
- Enthusiasm for local foods, farmers markets, and community engagement is encouraged
Preferences
- Previous experience in retail sales / grocery store environments
- Supervising experience managing a team or overseeing market operations
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to connect with a diverse customer base
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
