Key Responsibilities:
- Complete opening or closing checklist (equipment power-on/off, register float/reconciliation, restocking, cleaning)
- Prepare espresso drinks, pour-over, batch brew, and food/pastry items to recipe standard
- Operate POS; handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Greet and serve guests with prompt, friendly service; answer menu questions
- Maintain cleanliness of bar, dining area, and restrooms throughout shift
- Monitor inventory levels and flag low stock to Cafe Manager
- Follow food safety and health code standards at all times
- (Closing only) Reconcile register drawer, prepare nightly deposit, deep-clean, lock up and set alarm
About the role: Join the team at The Record Press, a café by day and a listening room by night, opening soon in Leesburg, VA. Baristas are part of a rotating 7-day schedule with overlapping opening/closing shifts to keep the café running smoothly from 8 AM–4 PM daily.
Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 28.0 per week
