Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup, dismantling, and maintenance of formwork and scaffolding for concrete pouring and masonry work.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and concrete mixers safely and efficiently to support various construction tasks.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, unloading materials, and organizing supplies for easy access.
- Support rebar installation, concrete cutting, finishing, and pumping activities to ensure structural integrity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to follow specifications accurately.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks and assist with roofing, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and restoration projects.
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support carpentry, masonry, metal stud framing, plastering, caulking, and other trades as needed on-site.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a construction environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and proper use of hand tools and power tools is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of finishing techniques, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings will help you excel in this role.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, climbing ladders or scaffolding, and working in various weather conditions is essential.
- Strong teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude towards safety compliance will set you up for success in this energetic role.
