What You’ll Do
As a Line Cook at Himes Breakfast House, you’ll play a vital role in delivering the quality and consistency that make our guests return again and again. You’ll work in a professional, supportive environment that values teamwork, communication, and pride in your craft.
Before the Shift
Set up and sanitize your prep area to Himes standards.

Review prep sheets and stock levels to ensure readiness.

Rotate product, label accurately, and discard any expired items.

During the Shift
Prepare all menu items, sauces, and sides according to Himes recipes and presentation specs.

Follow portioning and quality standards — every plate, every time.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient station throughout service.

Work collaboratively with dish and utility team to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

Record waste and temperature logs accurately and consistently.

End of Shift
Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, and equipment.

Assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and daily closing duties.

Pull and rotate frozen product for next-day prep.

Check out with a Manager before leaving and complete assigned closing tasks.

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous kitchen experience a plus — but we’ll train the right person
