Mixed Opening and Closing Front of House Lead

- Thursday–Sunday: 12:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.

About the Position
K Bakery is seeking a versatile Front of House Lead who can manage both opening and closing shifts. This role opens the bakery on Tuesday and leads afternoon and closing operations Thursday through Sunday.
The Mixed Lead must be comfortable working every front-of-house station, including the register, food packaging, order handoff, beverage support, restocking, and closing.
Responsibilities
- Complete all Tuesday opening procedures and prepare the bakery for its 7:00 a.m. opening
- Take ownership of afternoon and closing operations Thursday through Sunday
- Manage the transition from the morning team to the afternoon team
- Work the register and assist with beverages, packaging, and order handoff
- Supervise closing-support team members and assign closing responsibilities
- Maintain fast and accurate service through lunch and the afternoon
- Monitor product availability and communicate with the kitchen
- Handle customer concerns and make appropriate service-recovery decisions
- Verify that counters, displays, beverage stations, equipment, and customer areas are properly cleaned
- Oversee restocking and preparation for the next day
- Complete end-of-day POS procedures
- Secure and lock the bakery at the end of the shift
- Train and coach front-of-house team members
- Follow all food-safety and sanitation standards
Qualifications
- At least two years of café, bakery, restaurant, or food-service experience preferred
- Previous lead, keyholder, or closing-supervisor experience strongly preferred
- Barista experience or the ability to work the beverage station after training
- Comfortable supervising younger or less-experienced team members
- Strong judgment and problem-solving ability
- Excellent attendance and reliability
- Comfortable working independently while remaining in communication with management
- Required availability for the complete stated schedule
Physical Requirements
- Stand and move throughout the shift
- Bend, reach, clean, restock, and carry supplies
- Safely lift and carry approximately 30 pounds
- Work around hot beverages and commercial food-service equipment
The ideal candidate is dependable, confident, organized, and willing to work alongside the team rather than supervise from the sidelines.
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
