Job Summary:
The Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for all guests. This role is essential to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards, including:
- Making beds and changing linens
- Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms (toilets, sinks, tubs/showers, mirrors)
- Dusting furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Vacuuming carpets and/or mopping floors
- Emptying trash cans and replacing liners
- Replenish room supplies such as towels, toiletries, tissues, coffee, and water.
- Check and report any room damages, maintenance issues, or missing items.
- Restock housekeeping cart with clean linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies.
- Respect guest privacy and follow proper procedures for rooms with "Do Not Disturb" signs.
- Follow hotel safety, security, and sanitation guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior housekeeping experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Able to lift, push, and pull up to 30–50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed.
