Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer for a 16-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality adult echocardiograms, assist with advanced cardiac imaging procedures, and work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care in an acute care environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms (2D and Color Doppler).
- Conduct Bubble Studies, M-Mode, portable echocardiograms, and routine cardiac ultrasound exams.
- Assist with advanced procedures including TEE, stress echocardiography, and contrast imaging as needed.
- Evaluate cardiac anatomy and function using established imaging protocols.
- Accurately document studies using Epic and department imaging systems.
- Maintain patient safety and follow infection control protocols.
- Work with adult and geriatric patient populations in inpatient and critical care settings.
- Float to other units within the specialty as needed for bedside echocardiography.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer experience.
- First-time travelers are welcome with strong clinical experience.
- Active RDCS (ARDMS) or CCI credential required.
- BLS (AHA) certification required.
- Experience performing adult echocardiograms independently.
- Experience with Epic documentation preferred.
- Experience using Philips ultrasound equipment preferred.
- Acute care and hospital experience preferred.
