Provide effective classroom instruction in the assigned academic subject and coach student athletes in assigned sport(s). Support the academic, athletic, social, and emotional growth of students while contributing to the overall educational and athletic programs of the district.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

Valid Texas teaching certificate (or eligibility under District of Innovation plan)

Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification
-
CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
-
Coaching and/or participation experience in assigned sport(s)

Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and coaching techniques

Knowledge of UIL rules and regulations
-
Ability to instruct, supervise, and motivate students and student athletes

Strong classroom and behavior management skills

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with district curriculum and TEA guidelines

Assess student learning and adjust instruction to meet diverse needs, including IEP accommodations

Manage classroom and athletic environments conducive to learning, safety, and sportsmanship
-
Coach and supervise athletic practices, competitions, and travel
-
Ensure compliance with UIL rules and student eligibility requirements

Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and administrators
-
Maintain required records, reports, and equipment inventories
-
Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures
-
Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and extracurricular duties as assigned
-
Supervise instructional aides, assistant coaches, and student athletic assistants as assigned
-
Indoor and outdoor work; exposure to weather, noise, and physical activity
-
Prolonged standing, walking, and moderate lifting
-
Frequent evening, weekend, and travel commitments
