Job Summary
Villa Lorena Senior Living is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents. This role is essential in ensuring our community feels like home by upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and sanitation in resident rooms and common areas.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily
- Change and maintain resident bedding and linens
- Operate commercial washers and dryers for resident laundry
- Fold and organize linens and clothing according to proper procedures
- Label resident clothing and linens appropriately
- Maintain laundry and cleaning equipment in clean, organized condition
- Stock housekeeping and laundry carts with necessary supplies
- Follow all safety guidelines and proper use of cleaning chemicals
- Support team members and assist in other areas as needed
- Maintain regular attendance and complete tasks efficiently and on schedule
- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles within hospitality or industrial settings
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, sealing, waxing, and buffing floors
- Prior hotel experience or background in hospitality is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of janitorial procedures and industrial cleaning methods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive motions comfortably
What You’ll Bring
- At least 1 year of housekeeping or laundry experience (hotel, residential, or senior living preferred)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to read and follow instructions for cleaning products and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with seniors and team members
- Ability to follow both written and verbal directions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and reach frequently
- Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs
- Maintain stamina to move throughout the community during shift
- Comfortable working in environments that may be wet or fast-paced
Additional Requirements
- Must pass required health screening, TB test, and background clearance
- May be required to obtain First Aid certification
- Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Must be able to work a minimum of one weekend shift
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
