The Field Service Technician is responsible for the high quality and effective repair of equipment in the field or at the jobsite while working independently of direct supervision.
Compensation: Hourly wage + monthly gain time bonus + 401k with 6% match + profit-sharing.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment issues at the jobsite
- Performs maintenance and repairs of equipment at the jobsite
- Identifies needed parts for repairs, removes and installs parts and components
- Writes and communicates clear repair narratives; maintains detailed records for time, parts and supplies.
- Preforms testing to ensure proper operation after maintenance or repair
- Interacts directly with customers in person and by phone.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adheres to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and the employee handbook
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience of heavy or company equipment repair experience.
- Strong working knowledge of equipment operations and electrical, hydraulic, engine and mechanical functions
- Must be able to use a laptop to hookup machines for diagnostics
- Must own your own tools
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear. May be required to climb, balance and sit for an undetermined period of time
- Regularly exposed to extreme weather elements, including wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold and extreme heat, noise level in working environment can be moderate to high
- Clean driving record. Dependent on truck size, a CDL is required and training will be provided if you do not have a CDL.
- Travel as required
