Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Control Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will plan, coordinate, and monitor production schedules to ensure timely and efficient production to meet customer needs. In addition, this position will maintain accurate inventory records, create, verify, and close work orders, and communicate effectively across teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping Documentation & Coordination
· Pick pallets in JD Edwards software using FIFO (First In, First Out) methodology for MTM shipments
· Generate and print pick slips and kanban documents for the pallets picked
· Match, verify, and organize all shipping documentation according to priority lists to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
Work Order Creation
· Create and prepare work orders by assessing inventory levels to determine materials to add to production schedule
· Utilize JD Edwards software to format the work order header and select coils using FIFO (First In, First Out) methodology
· Highlight coil dimensions and spec information on printed work orders and stamp
Work Order Verification/Closing
· Verify and finalize work orders by confirming data in JD Edwards software and work orders match
· Make necessary corrections as needed on items such as quantity and ID adjustments
· Update work order status in JD Edwards software
· Verify the inventory in Summary Availability is accurate compared to the physical work order
· File completed work orders
Review/Update Production Schedule
· After MTM orders are completed, update the morning report with the new inventory information
· Review and adjust the schedule to meet inventory needs
· After the schedule is completed, prepare work orders and magnets to send to the production floor
Mill Tag Check
· After receiving new coils, verify the coil data on the mill tag matches the JDE tag
· Update the coil hold status in JD Edwards software with verification notes
· Manage discrepancies by documenting issues and coordinating with the Accounts team for necessary concessions
Manually Receive Coils
· Execute transfer orders as needed
· Manually input coil data into JD Edwards software using provided Bill of Lading
· Print and attach JDE tag alongside the original mill tag
Quality Holds
· Manage quality hold resolutions by processing RMA forms, scrap sales orders, and debit memo pick slips to facilitate returns, scrap material disposition, and inventory adjustments.
Communication
· Communicate with Accounts team on resource/spec/pitch/part number changes and mill issues and relay information to Production Scheduling and Production Management
· Coordinate trials for MTM on new materials and Production Scheduling
· Communicate with Production Management on coil, work order, and/or schedule changes as needed
· Communicate with shipping team members regarding misplaced pallets, part number changes, and pallets that will be shipped without paperwork
· Attend weekly Teams meetings with MTM to discuss quality issues and material changes
· Communicate with Production Scheduling on events that occur that impact the production schedule
· Communicate with accounting on work orders with high variances and coil invoices
Reports
· Provide inventory reports to operations, accounts, and management
· Provide executives with weekend production hours and monthly production lot history
Cycle Counts
· Perform cycle counts as needed to ensure inventory accuracy
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
