Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and cosmetic refinishing will be vital in delivering exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive restoration and skilled in various welding, fabrication, and repair techniques. Work schedule is Monday through Thursday 7am through 6pm. We are closed Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Duties
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using hand tools and power tools.
- Utilize MIG welding, welding repair, and automotive welding equipment to restore vehicle frames and panels.
- Conduct automotive cosmetic repairs such as sanding, auto painting, auto restoration, and auto body refinishing to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision.
- Use fabrication techniques to create custom parts or repair damaged sheet metal sections through soldering and fabrication repair methods.
- Apply automotive dent repair techniques and automotive structural repair to ensure vehicle safety and integrity.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as detailing, auto parts installation, and light mechanical work when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, welding operations, airless paint spraying, and use of other specialized equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair journey.
Experience
- Proven experience working as an automotive body technician with dealership or collision center backgrounds preferred.
- Strong knowledge of auto restoration techniques, automotive cosmetic repair, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Hands-on experience with MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and using automotive welding equipment.
- Familiarity with auto painting processes including airless paint spraying and finishing techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto estimating, and automotive parts installation.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and other workshop equipment essential for auto body repairs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with a solid understanding of automotive structural repair standards.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
