Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and supervision for dogs in the pet boarding facility
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment that promotes health and safety
- Handle animals with gentle restraint techniques, ensuring their comfort and safety during routine procedures or grooming
- Assist with pet feeding, medication administration, and monitoring of animal behavior to detect any health concerns early
- Support pet owners through friendly customer service interactions, answering questions about pet care and facility policies
- Comfortable answering phone calls and talking to clients
- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to animal transport or equipment setup while maintaining proper team lifting safety protocols
Requirements
- Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal handling demonstrates strong animal care skills
- Knowledge of kennel operations, pet grooming, animal restraint techniques, and sanitation practices is preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward pet owners and team members
- Familiarity with pet behavior management and animal care standards ensures compassionate treatment of all animals
- Prior experience working in pet boarding facilities or animal shelters is a plus

- This is a part time role, hours with vary each week, specifically needed weekends and afternoons 1-5 pm.
