Dog Trainer – Basic Obedience & Group Classes
R&R Pet Resort is looking for an experienced Dog Trainer to join our busy pet resort!
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with dogs and interested in providing basic obedience training, private lessons, and group classes for our clients.
We have an indoor training room available for year-round classes, along with an established clientele of dog owners. This is a great opportunity for a trainer who wants to build and grow a training program within an already busy pet-care facility.
Responsibilities
- Teach basic obedience, including sit, stay, down, come, and leash manners
- Provide private training sessions and/or group obedience classes
- Work with puppies and adult dogs of different breeds and personalities
- Teach owners how to reinforce training at home
- Communicate professionally with clients
- Help develop training programs and class schedules
What We're Looking For
- Previous dog training experience preferred
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and body language
- Comfortable working with different breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Ability to confidently communicate and teach pet owners
- Dependable, professional, and self-motivated
- Dog training certifications are a plus but not required with sufficient experience
