We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Facilities Coordinator to maintain the operational standards of our Virginia Beach facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for general upkeep, minor repairs, and coordinating site maintenance to ensure a safe, functional, and professional environment for both staff and clients.Key Responsibilities
- Preventative & General Maintenance: Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify and address facility needs, ensuring all common areas and offices are in good repair.
- Electrical Maintenance: Perform basic electrical repairs, including replacing light bulbs, troubleshooting outlets/switches, and resetting breakers.
- Plumbing Maintenance: Handle minor plumbing issues such as unclogging drains, addressing leaky faucets, and reporting significant issues to management.
- Wall & Surface Repairs: Perform cosmetic repairs including spackling, wall patching, and touch-up painting to maintain a clean appearance throughout the facility.
- Assembly & Installation: Assemble office furniture, mount whiteboards, hang pictures/signage, and install miscellaneous wall fixtures securely.
- Coordination: Act as the point of contact for building upkeep, ensuring safety protocols are followed and reporting larger maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in facilities maintenance, handyman services, or a related trade.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic hand and power tools. Ability to perform fundamental electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic with the ability to manage daily tasks independently.
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to organizational emergency preparedness standards.
- Communication: Clear communication skills for reporting maintenance logs and coordinating with office staff.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
